What we are
We are demolition specialists. The whole business is built around what we take on: taking structures apart in a controlled sequence and getting the material off site legally, which is a narrower trade than it sounds and a more technical one than most people expect.
That focus is deliberate. Demolition in New York City is governed by filings, asbestos rules, disposal rules and building access constraints that a general trade picks up as it goes. We would rather be the crew that already knows what an ACP-5 is when you ask.
How we work
We plan the sequence before anything comes down. Access decides most of the plan in this city, so we work out how material leaves the building before we work out how it comes off the wall. Utilities get proved dead rather than assumed dead. Anything that carries load gets supported before it is touched.
We tell you which filing you need before we quote, not after you have committed. If your job needs an asbestos assessment we start that on day one, because it is the step that most often moves a start date and the one people most often leave until last.
We coordinate the specialists a demolition needs around it, from the DEP-certified asbestos investigator to the gas fitter who proves a supply dead and the engineer who designs temporary support. The sequence holds together instead of stalling between trades.

What happens on day one
We can describe the first day before you ask, because it has the same shape on every job. Routes, lobbies, stairs and anything that stays get covered before a tool comes out. The debris route is agreed: which lift and which window, which door, or which stair. Every service that reaches the space is proved dead rather than assumed dead, with a qualified fitter on the gas. And the paperwork that has to exist before anyone starts, from the permit to the building’s own sign-off, is in hand.
The sequence is where a demolition goes cleanly or goes wrong, and it is the part a quote never shows you. So we show it to you first.
What we ask you first
The order of the questions tells you how the job will be run.
- How old the building is, before we ask about the square footage. Before April 1987 and needing a permit means an asbestos assessment, and we raise it in the first conversation rather than the fifth.
- How a truck gets to the door. Driveway, kerbside, loading dock, service lift or a stair. It changes the price more than the scope does.
- What the alteration agreement or the lease says, because that is what sets the hours, the protection standard and what finished means.
- What stays. "Everything except the exterior walls" is a complete brief.
- Whether anyone is living or trading there during the work, which decides the separation, the hours and the debris route.
How we quote
A number on the phone is a scoped range. The firm price comes after we have seen the site, because access and what is behind the finishes are the two things a photograph cannot settle.
Every quote we give assumes one debris route, one reinstatement standard, one answer on who carries the filing work and one answer on asbestos, and we write those assumptions down. That way the price you are looking at is the price of the job you described.
Where the debris goes is written down too: covered loads to a permitted transfer station with the documentation per load, and anything that is not construction and demolition debris, from asbestos and lead-contaminated material to fluorescent tubes, appliances, tyres, drums and fuel tanks, separated on site and routed its own way.
Where we are
Our base is on Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, which is why Brooklyn jobs get the shortest travel and the easiest scheduling. From there we cover Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island, plus Long Island, Yonkers and New Rochelle.
We are open seven days a week, from 7am to 11pm, and we take emergency calls around the clock. A parapet does not wait for Monday, and neither does a tenant with water coming through a ceiling. So someone picks up.
