Call and describe the job. Most of the time we can scope it on the phone and confirm on site.
What to have ready
None of this is essential, but with it we can usually give you a real answer on the first call instead of a range.
- The address
- It tells us the jurisdiction, the likely building type and the travel.
- Roughly when it was built
- Before or after April 1987 decides whether an asbestos assessment sits on your critical path.
- What is coming out, and what stays
- The single most useful thing you can tell us. "Everything except the exterior walls" is a complete brief.
- Whether anyone is there during the work
- Occupied buildings change hours, protection and the debris route.
- How a truck gets to the door
- Driveway, kerbside, loading dock, service lift or a stair. This affects the price more than almost anything else.
- Photos
- More useful than measurements. Wide shots of the whole space beat close-ups of one wall.
Emergency work
If a structure has become unsafe after a fire, a collapse, a storm or a failure, call rather than using the form. We take emergency calls 24 hours a day and we will tell you on the phone when a crew can actually be with you.
